Preparing Your Pets

ready.govREADY.GOV: Launched in February 2003, Ready is a National public service campaign designed to educate and empower the American people to prepare for, respond to and mitigate emergencies, including natural and man-made disasters. The goal of the campaign is to promote preparedness through public involvement.

ASPCATHE AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS: ASPCA was the first humane society to be established in North America. They were founded on the belief that animals are entitled to kind and respectful treatment at the hands of humans and must be protected under the law. The ASPCA mission, as stated by founder Henry Bergh in 1866, is “to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States.”

FEMA

FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY: FEMA is a branch within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Their mission is to support citizens and first responders to ensure that as a nation we work together to build, sustain and improve our capability to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from and mitigate all hazards.
